Taxpayer Situation: Teresita owed the State of California (FTB) over $26,000 for tax years 2005, 2010 and 2011.
Resolution Outcome: When the taxpayer retained our services, she was in collection with the FTB and numerous missing tax returns going as back as 2006. Raquel D. owed the California Department of Tax Fee Administration (CDTFA) for sales tax $53,000. Lifeback Tax Relief settled the entire debt for $2,500!
Taxpayer Situation: Raquel D. owed over $53k in sales tax to the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) for tax periods that covered: February 2016 to March 2018, due to the sale of her business. Paperwork of the business sale was improperly handled; as a result, Raquel's name was listed as owner of record for the business, therefore, liable for the sales tax owed to CDTFA. Raquel was unable to resolve the sales tax debt on her own with CDTFA nor the new owner of the business. Taxpayer Situation: Charles M., a wage earner, owed the IRS over $26,000 for tax year 2011. The taxpayer was missing his 2017 tax year and the IRS had been enforcing collection action against him. Charles also had equity in his property.
Lifeback Tax Resolution Process: Once Charles retained our services, we immediately contacted the IRS and placed all enforcement action on hold. Then, we obtained his account transcripts. Charles was advised to prepare his 2017 tax return in a timely manner in order to ensure compliance with the IRS. To resolve his issue, our team ordered the necessary income documents so he could prepare his 2017 tax return. As a result, Charles only had a small balance on his 2017 tax year. Lifeback Tax prepared an extension financial analysis and submitted the taxpayer's financials for the Currently Non Collectible (CNC) status. The IRS agreed with us that Charles didn't have the means to pay the amount towards his balance. As a result, the IRS placed Charles' account into hardship status.
